This week I took Womble to see an animal physiotherapist. This was a first for me but I was really pleased with the session and hope it can help with his mobility.
Interested to know who else has done physio with their piggies or seen an animal physiotherapist? 😊

Never heard of physio for guinea pigs. Interested to know if it works.
No I didn’t realise there were physios that could work on piggies. I thought, I have physio, the dog has physio, I wonder if guinea pigs can too? Did some searching and found the perfect person. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 crossed it helps.

Does his physio do stretching and massage? What is the problem you are working on? Getting hold of a guinea pig's leg could be tricky. They are small and lightweight, but need practised handling I would think 🩼

It’s to help arthritis in his back legs. The exercises are about getting him to build his muscles the support the correct posture. No stretching, currently just encouraging him to stand correctly while he is eating. Also some massage by the physiotherapist. And we trying an electro magnetic pulse mat to help the inflammation. 👍🏻

Good to have this intervention. Let us know how it goes. Arthritis can do so much harm, if it can be challenged, that is excellent.
