Hi All

Recently my boar has gone completely off any leaf vegetable which would concern me but he's quite happy eating any chunky vegetables. For example I fI try to give him romaine lettuce he looks at mye like I've just stolen his first born but if I then give him brocolli, cumcumber, bit of tomato etc he'll take it popcorn round his cage then scoff it. Which are the safest 'chunky' veggies he can eat daily as I dont want to continually feed him those three specifically because they aren't the best.

I will add I dont have concerns about his health as he is completely normal (including poops) its just that hes become fussy

I had a piggy that did the opposite. He went off pepper. I weighed him and he had lost weight. I checked his front teeth and they were wonky. He had an abscess brewing but showed no other symptoms.

My advice would be weigh him for a few days to make sure he is actually eating ok as you can’t always gauge how much hay they are eating by eye. Have a look at his teeth to make sure they are straight.

Maybe he’s just gone off lettuce but make sure there’s nothing medically wrong too.

Does he eat coriander, peppers, cucumber? These can be fed daily. The occasional green bean and baby sweet corn can be fed too. How about a bit of grass (not too much if he’s not used to it)

Luckily I get to see his teeth daily as he likes to chew his bars to let his neighbour know if food time and he likes to stretch and yawn when he’s enjoying a fuss.

Peppers depends on his mood but cucumber he will eat until it gives him the squits.

Grass wise I’ve been debating for a while with all 4 of them doing a tray for their cages and allowing them a bit of time with it each day as I have seed left over from doing the lawn. Is any type of grass ok?

I’ve found this thread

Wheat grass

Wheat grass is ok for piggies. I’m not sure about other types of grass seeds.
