hi people iv had to sick piggies they been suffering from bloat and been on medication to get gut going did not drink or eat anything i still not sure they hundred per cent but drinking from water bottles but not eating like they should hay is very little and normally they hay racks they empty i going to change hay to timothy hay i use medow hay and always get it from same shop also tngt my newby flash not eating either i have no idea whats going on here i syringe feeding him at moment but his mate cocoa is fine flash was fine last weekend this is very strange and hope he makes the ngt so worried

Hi, sorry to hear you are having such a difficult time.

Are your boys still bloated or just still not right after having bloat? Are there abdomens hard and distended and sound hollow to tap? Are they still pooing? If not, they need to see a vet again as this can be life threatening.

As for the eating side of things, continue syringe feeding as you are with critical care, recovery or mushed up pellets as per the guide:

Weigh them daily before feeding to make sure they are getting enough food.

It's unusual for an illness to go around several pigs causing bloat, it's likely there is something else that's set it off.

What do you feed them normally? Have they had any new, wilted or unusually large amounts of veg before it started?

I'd recommend having them seen by a vet again to try and get to the bottom of it.

Been back to vets told me to carry on with medication it could be metacam that caused the diareah pie eating abit but my flash newby is very poorly he wont eat either i have no idea if he make the ngt syringe feeding him been vets with him too they gave him couple of injections and to use pies medication to as there weights are same i gutted put new hay in gone to timothy hay rather than meadow hay they seem to be eating the hay but not like they all normally do
