So when i got Chloe, About 5-6 weeks ago , I still had Honey.
And Honey lovedddddd her veggies, she was the loudest wheeker for food - ever :))
Honey sadly passed away last week, and the little Chloe is not eating her veggies. When she was with Honey she would eat small bits of carrot, cabbage, cucumber etc. But since she hasnt eaten much.

I mean she's nibbled on hay and eaten her nuggets. Shes also steadily putting on weight and growing. This week I'm getting another baby pig. so what food can i give them to introduce them slowly to veggies?

Thankyouuu!

:)

xx

mine love cucumber thats something they ate from the day i got them.my 2 can be fussy but they do love and never refuse cucumber, spring cabbage, salad leaves

My piggies ultimate favourites are green pepper (number 1) , cucumber, romaine lettuce, basil, rocket and carrot.

I would seriously first try them on pepper as I have heard that is a huge favourite with pigs (just not too much red) and it is something they need regularly. :)

piggies not eating properly CAN be a sign of loneliness. After Lucky's mate passed away, she only ever picked at her food and stopped wheeking for fresh veggies like she used to.

we were quite worried, but when we got Poppy as a companion for Lucky, normal eating habits soon resumed! Shes back to her normal self now, sticking her nose up in the corner of the cage when she hears the fridge door open, wheeking away!

See how things go once you get your new piggie. (are you rescuing by the way?) and try them on different types of veggies to see what they like.

Hits with my two are celery leaves, cucumber, carrot greens, runner beans, cabbage, corn on the cob (especially the ones with the leaves and silks still on)

Ahh thankyou everyone for your replies.

I'm going to raid the fridge tomorrow and see what i can dig out.
I did try her with cucumber and she had a little nibble.

The thing she really loved was cherry tomatoes. Lol

Ohh and btw, My auntys friend's pig has just had babies so I'm having on of hers :)
