My guinea pig has and still is unwell, not sure what's the problem but she hasnt been eating for a few days, today she has happily ate coriander, a little carrot and happily are the carrot tops, she also eats fresh grass but so far nothing else not even romaine lettuce and that was a favourite. How much of these foods that she is eating can she have as i dont want to upset her tummy although she hasn't pooed in 2days so wondering if the coriander will get her bowel s working.

Is she eating hay ? Personally, I think , If she hasn't poo'd in 2 days, I think she needs to be seen by a vet.

She has been to the vet twice in 10 days, theyre not sure what the prob is, not eating hay or pellets, I'm syringe feeding plus fibreplex and anti inflammatatories. Shes up and about looking quite lively. Will take her back to the vets tomorrow but didnt know whether to just let her eat what she wants until then as this is all she's interested in. :(

I'd continue to syringe feed her if I were you - and let her eat what she wants to .

I agree to let her eat what she wants to with the syringe feeding. Just stay away from anything gassy.

Shes having a little nibble at hay now and had a little drink although still only interested in carrot tops and coriander. How much syringe food should i give at one time? I've read some info but the amounts seem huge, ive been giving her 5ml every few hrs, she takes that ok before trying to get away

Whatever she will take really, 5ml is good but if she will take more then go for it. The recommended amout is usually 120ml in 24 hours but if she is eating for herself you can give less.

Here is our guide Complete Syringe Feeding Guide

Update, cilla went back to vets monday and had her teeth/mouth checked and that seemed fine so was given a jab to try and get her tummy working. No joy plus she still hadnt pooed since Saturday so back again Tuesday, her stomach was very gassy but no other ill symptons, oral tummy meds plus zantac and probiotic. Had 2 doses of each and we have poo! Never been so excited, although her tummy is quite bloated.fingers crossed she starts eating and drinking by herself as I'm on nights so unable to feed/ water through the night.

One of my pig's was bloated and wasn't pooing for a while there. The vet done an xray to check for bloat and that's what it was.
She was put on emeprid 1ml a day and that worked. I also put her on a hot water bottle (not too hot) and rubbed her little belly, like a massage and that really seemed to help her, after I done that poos were coming out fine, after days of nothing

She now has diarrhoea, not getting out of bed to est or drink :( starting to wonder if maybe she wont get better

Oh bless her, that can often happen after a period of not pooing. Is she on any pain relief? I would keep up the probiotics and withdraw all veg. Are you able to get her back to the vets?

Yeah back to vets at 4.30 but i think its time tbh, her lips have gone bluey and she is just sitting with her head down :(

Oh no I'm so sorry. It sounds like she is now having breathing issues and maybe her system is shutting down :(
