I have recieved word today that the "Piggy Minister" contest has been cancelled.

I, for one is deeply disapointed at this development as not only a lot of work gone into the pigfestos but, more importantly the rescues represented will also be loosing potential funds at a time that they really need it.
 
I have no idea what is happening with this - if I find out, I will let you know. :)
 
thanks :) me and Jane have done loads ;D we could still do it though couldnt we? we all have our info so we only need to get them on a thread and start voting? :-\
 
Aww if it has been cancelled that is really sad, as I know that sooo much time and effort has been put into the pigfestos by all concerned :'(

It hasn't been cancelled - will be still going ahead! :) Look at the link above for more details.

thank goodness! It would be horrible to let everyone down as people are getting excited I am for one :D cant wait to see what you have all been doing :D :D

Those of you who contacted me regarding the Guinea Wheek Pigfesto are aware of what is happening. :) :)

I apologise to any one who feels let down :) When I stepped down as mod I never intended to step down as a member but private conversations have made me want to let the dust settle-- I do not do drama or trouble, just guinea pigs. :)


Guinea Wheek is a national event that I organise yearly- no rescue will lose out, last year it was hosted over several websites (as it will be this year) and we raised money and goods (and awareness) for 4 rescues, this year it is extended to 5/6 because of 2 rescues I have met here- already TGPF has contributed :)

When my Piggie PM thread and others were unstickied it suggested that my posts might not be welcome here and I should leave some time before posting again, the complete removal of the Guinea Wheek thread in which I had started to post about the photo comps that were going to be held here said to me that TGPF did not support Guinea Wheek- I may have got that wrong of course :)

I hope you all raise lots of money for the rescues as this is what its about :)

This way rescues will get double the money because I am, with the author's permission, using their Pigfestos too.

Its nice to see that the guineas will benefit out of this :)

It is going ahead Glynis :) It was always a Guinea Wheek event and I asked permission for it to go on here :) Now it will go on here and I will be using it for Guinea Wheek as planned :)

It was always the intention to stay as a member, its only modding that I was struggling with, a member I can do LOL!

It must be difficult to be a mod and be impartial and not take things to heart.... one i don't envy anyone :)

Guinea Wheek is run annually by myself and a couple of people that support me :)
 
I was off line most of yesterday and missed all this. Not heard anything personally via pm or email about what is happening. Had to hear second hand.

Can someone fill me in as it would be appreciated. Is this off or on? If on where do i resend my pigfesto to as i sent it to Karen about two weeks ago. Will this be forwarded on by Karen or do i need to resend. If so where to?

Sorry for all the questions but no ones told me ANYTHING :)
 
Have emailed you Lindsay. I haven't contacted anyone initially, everyone has contacted me and then I have filled them in.
 
If you have noticed Karen, that most boards have lost their stickies - not just yours.  All boards will be getting a revamp of important threads as there was too many before.

You said the Pigfesto wasn't happening on here anymore which was a disappointment to many members. Some of the members have took it upon themselves to ensure that it will be going ahead on here as planned.  
 
Cheers Karen will check emails. Like i say must have missed something yesterday as i wouldnt have contacted you about this as i didnt get any feeling that it might not be on from anything i have read.

Note to self * Must not go shopping and to away matches as i will miss too much on TGPF* ;D
 
Yes I have Ellie :) Thankyou. I was just concerned with the Guinea Wheek one being deleted thats all :) as its current :) Thats what made me uncomfortable :)

Its great that you are doing too now :)
 
Karen, can I just say that I am soooo glad that you are back...in whatever capacity :) I think I speak for all the members that we really do appreciate all your good advice and support....reading through the threads you are always there if we need you....so THANKYOU :smitten:
