pigg eating hair!

i was sitting here vewing the forum (bent over my laptop) with my pig on my back and she started eating my hair! it was painful but cute!

is it normal?

For some guineas yes. They will trim the long-hair of a cage mate if their pal will sit still long enough.

I've tried everything to stop my oldest sow doing it. Huge cage, tons of hay, you name it. She does it to everyone - she was sitting on my shoulder one night then I heard her chew. Next thing I knew a 2-inch long chunk of hair, MY hair, hit my lap. :o

I keep telling my piggys that my hair is not hay. Bungle is the worst hair muncher. I try tie it back now as with catching it in the cages and them chewing it I wont have any left lol.

I let one of my piggies (Scuba) on my floor and I lay down and let him run, a few mins later I felt something tugging my hair, I turned round and there was Scuba... with the biggest chunk of my hair hanging out of his mouth! I pulled it out of his mouth and showed my other half. I didn't once think Guinea Pigs were interested in my hair!
