Hi. Have recently rescued two beautiful boys. I'm giving Guinea's pig Muesili, hay and the fruit and veg I'm giving is:

Kale
Spinach
Carrot
Cucumber
Broccoli
Apple
Parsley
Satsuma

I'm giving this every day.
Is there any of these I shouldn't give? Or any should not give everyday?

Don't give apple or carrot daily
They are both high in sugar and too much apple can give them mouth sores

I would swap the Parsley for Coriander due to calcium level ;)

Are you planning to switch from muesli to nuggets?

Museli can lead to selective feeding so good quality nuggets are advisable.
The majority of their diet (80%) should be good quality feeding hay and grass, 15% a variety of leafy vegetables such as kale, herbs, dandelions, cabbage, just small amounts of fruit, carrots as treats, 5% of diet as pellets. But if they are still growing they should have pellets available at all times

Hi thank you for all the advise. The piggies were on muesli at the rescue centre so I thought it would be best to keep them on the same. Do you recommend the pellets or nuggets?
Would it be fine to give them broccoli, kale, spinach, corriander everyday?
I was told that cabbage is not good to give them. Is this true?

I'm new to this too @beckyb so I recommend you read the thread linked above. According to that you can give coriander, celery, peppers (red and yellow) and cucumber daily. There's a photo of a recommended plate. Things like cabbage, broccoli, Brussels sprouts can cause gas so give only a little, particularly if they've never eaten it. I've attached an example of the feeding schedule for my boys the past two weeks. Maybe you can get some ideas from there. Read through that thread and you can see what's recommended daily (the four I mentioned) and what can be given 2-3 times a week. Carrots are high in vitamin A?. And fruits can cause sores on the mouth if given too frequently.

If I've given wrong info anywhere please correct me. I'm still learning as well.

Also, pellets and nuggets basically refer to the same thing.
