I was generally searching the web and found Large balls for piggies like hamster balls..

do they like these? :S

These will damage the spine and paws of your guinea pig and do not provide any level of fun for your pet. These balls are hot, stuffy and confine the animal. Guinea pigs are not physically built to use exercise balls and they will become injured through use.

hope this helps answer your question :)

Guinea pig exercise balls are the reason why I stopped shopping in pet shops and instead order everything online.

Every time I went into a pet shop and saw those god damned things I wanted to bin everything they had that is bad for the animals they're advertising them to.
pow-pow

I cant believe these are still being sold, after reading the damage they can do on a thread a while back.. shows some sites are all for profit and not the animals well being!
Sad thing is, like many people you trust what stores sell, and I was going to buy one of these, hate to think of the damage I could have done to my precious boys :( x

Although ive never seen them in an actual shop, only on-line.. which worries me more, cos then people just "add to basket" well, i do lol..so I'm only paying postage once! get carried away and dont really look into things where in a shop I would probably ask questions, and find out a bit more info and return to buy

i get so angry when i see balls, harnesses, wheels, food that they claim is good for guineas when it says rabbit on the label.i am at breaking point with all these harmful things and gosh i want to yell when they won't listen to reason about these products,i am going to follow your lead and shop online thanks x

Depends on where you're shopping as to what products you are going to be exposed to.

I use: the hay experts (thehayexperts.co.uk) for food, bedding and hay. I use pamperedpiggies (pamperedpiggies.com) for toys; their owner has a thread on another forum I frequent and seems very clued up on guinea pig care. I believe she makes many of the treats herself which gives me more confidence on what they'll contain as opposed to those you can buy in pet shops.

If I found out that any of the sites I go to had started to sell products that are advertised for yet inappropriate for a pet I have, I'd stop buying from them. Thankfully, my current sources seem pretty clued up on the care of the pets they are selling products for. 8:)
