Hey so got my 3rd piggie about a week ago and he had what looked like dry eye boogies in his left eye a few days ago I noticed hair loss around that eye I looked this morning and hes lost alittle more hair I'm calling the vet Monday but does anyone have any idea what's going on with my boy the only time my pigs have been sick was when I got my last one he had a upper respiratory infection

Good job you are having him seen by a vet. My first thought would be ringworm which can cause hair loss but only a vet can diagnose and treat. Or of course it could be something completely different. Do you have a photo?

Hi!

Good that you are having your new boy vet checked.

Unfortunately, we cannot diagnose sight unseen but you are likely either dealing with a respiratory infection or ringworm, which are both dealt with in more detail in the green information link below; also including your customer rights in the case of newly bought piggies with health issues.
Here is our list of the most common pitfalls that come with new piggies: New guinea pigs: Sexing, vet checks&customer rights, URI, ringworm and parasites
