Piggie pees on me?! She never did this before!

Yesterday I gave her eome cucumbers and left her to eat but my brother tookher out of her house and played woth her a bit, she bit him once so he gave her back to me and she was like her usual self with me but she suddenly peed on my lap and on my bed! I thought it was the cucumber so I didnt think much of it but it just happened today she bit me and then peed on my bed >>> what is this?! What should I do? Should I leave her alone for now? (i normally play with her hours at time but this time she peed after like 3 minutes)


I have only this one guinea pig, she's 8 month old and Iv had her for 6 month

I have a piggy who pees on me, usually with no warning!

When she bites you, it is likely that she is telling you that she needs a wee so when she does this, put her back in her cage or somewhere she can pee.

My piggies will usually get restless and nip / lick me when they need to go. It usually saves any accidents.

I am thinking that these two occasions she has just happened to need a wee when you have picked her up

Yes, guineas can produce a surprisingly large amount of wee when sitting on a person I always find!

I have several piggies and I think.. Every single one of them has pee'd on me at some point. It's not really something you can stop, most piggies do give of signs they are uncomfortable and are about to do their business. You just need to recognize the signs. Like Claire said, the nipping may be your piggie saying "Piggy needs potty".

The other day I had one of the piggies on my lap. He fell asleep for about 10 minutes, woke up.. Ate some carrot and just peed whilst eating! Very soggy lap! He was happy though!

Cookie will nibble me, Treacle will teeth chatter and Putt used to look behind her then start shuffling backwards With Megan we always put a towel on our laps as she wee's without warning and will literally poo 20 times while on your lap

It was probably just coincidence that she needed to wee when you had her 2 times in a row..

My Rosie is a girl after your Megan's heart. She likes to wee without warning and is a pooping machine.

My gingers either nibble, lick or get really fidgety so I pop them back in the cage and more often than not they will wee as soon as they are back in the cage.

I would just use a towel, we always cuddle our boys with a towel for them to sit on. In case of mishaps!

Pecan pees on me all the time once she peed moved and peed again and again. She would not stop. I see it as a compliment and she must like me to do it hahahaha rolleyes

Piggies do tell us when to pee, it kinda is hard to figure out how they tell us sometimes. When they tug clothes or nibble fingers, it's easy as pie. I have one who lifts her head. Not so obvious.
