Piggies and lap time

Hi all,
When I take my piggies out for lap time or cuddle them before they go back in after floor time they scream so much! Like I know piggies are drama queens but does this mean they don’t like it or they’re just wanting to go back in? Ozzy makes his complaining sound and Bruno squeaks a ton making Ozzy even louder

I think They all like to get back into the comfort of their cages when they have been out. Sometimes they want a wee and will complain until they get back home. Perhaps you could try getting them out later and feed them some little treats at a different time from their run around

I think that’s what they do, complain until I take them back. Think I‘ll cuddle at a different time to floor time as well, might be a bit much for them

Do you have other pets like a dog or cat? I know my piggy does the same thing. If I give him some floor time and try to hold him, he starts freaking out if the other pets are in the same room.

I have a Maine coon but I don’t allow her near them, she’s a cheeky girl

I think every pig is different and to be honest some are just not cuddly.
Ruby screams if anyone other than my daughter holds her. When my daughter picks herup she goes flat and will only complain if my daughter gets up to put her back in the cage. If I try to hold her she bites me.
Lucy loves everyone and adores cuddles and will be held for hours without complaint.
Harry hates cuddles and fidgets and scrabbles around until you put him back in his cage.

@Swissgreys thats so odd! I wonder what it is about your daughter that Ruby relates to. Are the other piggies the same?

Sorry to derail. As said they may just like ‘home comforts’. My piggies all enjoy lap time, but (perhaps luckily for them) I don’t do it very often.

That’s so cute that ruby has a soft spot for your daughter Ozzy will tolerate it but after a bit he complains, Bruno kisses and licks me while screaming bless him
