Hello all. My guinea pigs ran out of hay today, the earliest I can get some new hay is tomorrow evening. There is still some small pieces of hay and hay dust stuff at the bottom of the bag, should I feed them that? Or is that not a good idea... Should I give them pellets or more veggies in the meantime? They should have food moving through their systems continually... Advice, please!

I wouldn’t feed them the dusty parts. Is there any pet shop you could get some from? Sorry I don’t know how many hours behind you are. If they’re used to grass you could give them some. Is there any hay in the their cage that could last them till you get more?

Don’t give them more veg or pellets than they usually eat. You can’t run out of hay. Always have a small bag stashed away for emergencies. And buy/order more when you get halfway through your current bag.

Alright, thanks for your help. I think I can get them some hay by tomorrow afternoon. I would give them some grass but there is snow on the ground :( Yes there is hay in their cage, that should last them a bit.
