piggies attack?

I went into the guinea pig room and i saw my two female guinea pigs, Clover and Magic fighting in their cage! Clover the younger one was attacking and biteing my older one and my older one is shreiking at the top of their lungs! i put Clover in another cage to seperate them but now Magic , my older one is terrified to be even around Clover if i try to reintroduce them! do guinea pigs ever forgive the other?

I'd try slowly to reintroduce them and give them some food so they can give all their attention on that for a while, but somewhere they've never been before, or maybe on your garden grass in a pen or in your arms or on your lap maybe? somewhere so you can stop them before any fighting goes on lol

thanks for the info! ive tried that already and she keeps attacking Magic! and Magic will do high pitched squeals as in frightened! i dont really know what to do! i might try a different area!

Hiya,

Try putting washed towels down and introduce them in a neutral area, maybe the sofa or bedroom. I've had this with my two boars Sunshine and Cuzzy and for me there will be no more introducing, it really shook Sunshine up as Cuzzy attacked him and I won't have him that upset.

thanks for the advice! yea Magic's still shaken up by Clover attacking her. the sad thing is Magic is older than Clover and she is terified of her. i tried to introduce them again and they seemed fine but i turned by back for a second to get carrots they were fighting again.
