Just beginning to think about holidays etc and wondered whether anyone could recommend a piggy boarder in the Wiltshire or nearby areas? Ideally one that also takes rabbits but not essential as I don't mind boarding them separatly. My local pet shop does do boarding and I have looked at it and it seems fine (less space than they are used to but still a good size), in a shed etc. She does bed on woodshavings usually but said she would happily use only hay if that is what I preferred. I do defend this pet shop - she is fantastic compared to most pet shops - but I would really like to 'shop around' a bit before deciding.
In the past I have always left my animals with a neighbour but had a horrible experience last year when I returned to a rabbit with flystrike (He's fine now but was touch and go for a while). It seems, despite what she told me she would do for me, all she actually did was throw in food for them!
Anyway - might not be an issue. It is only a problem if I decide to go away with my parents at any stage as my Mum is a fab piggy sitter for any other occassions.
Just thought I should start thinking now because I would imagine places book up pretty quick.
