at the moment, my piggies are having pillow wad meadow hay, science selective hay and burgess excel nuggets. As of tomorrow, I'm trying them on rosewood natural nuggets, science selective hay and timothy hay.co.uk 9kg of timothy meadow hay. I'm just looking to see how that diet sounds to everyone else? is anyone on a similar diet? They're also on the grass for about 7 hours a day, and have a variety of veg every few days; peppers, baby leafs, celery, sometimes cucumber. I was also wondering for those of you in the uk that use timothyhay.co.uk, how long do the deliveries generally take?
Thanks !

Mine are on a similar diet but get veggies daily. They are slowly being introduced to the grass.

May I ask what made you switch? Vets out us onto Burges but I'm wondering about changing.

Not too knowledgeable about pellets, but make sure to be careful with the grass. If introduced to quickly, it can cause some soft poops. I'd say about 2-3 hours is best starting out if you'd like to keep them on the lawn for a while. My piggies love the outdoors, but will completely destroy my lawn if I leave them on one spot for more than a couple hours. lol!

I start mine off on grass for 15 mins and slowly increase it by 15 mins for the first few days then after they have been on it for about an hour a day I increase it by half hourly intervals until they are on the grass full time. You know your piggies and how well they tolerate grass mine can be a bit iffy so I introduce it very gradually. At the mo they are getting a couple of handfuls a day until the ground firms up a bit underfoot.

My piggies have always been on grass, just have short periods where they don't, like when its raining or frosty or windy! Mine destroy the place too, but we don't really mow the lawn so there are lots of long patches for them to go at haha.
I switched from burgess because it has grain and wheat, and i wanted to see if they would prefer pellets without! I'll still be looking to use burgess but i wanted to try mixing the rosewood in too, as its based on grasses and hay and looks a lot more natural. I was going to try science selective but i'm so undecided with pellets. Also, one of my boys loves burgess nuggets but the others aren't so keen!

I was thinking of trying the science selective, but saw reviews saying they were changing the ingredients so i thought id wait. the ingredients which are best honestly baffle me but grass and hay certainly sounds better than wheat flour ect!
