I noticed that sometimes my piggy feels like she has lost a lot of weight, but I weigh her and she hasn't! Is this normal? This is usually in the mornings or at night.

I notice it more with my smaller boy. Sometimes his tummy sticks out a lot and sometimes it's flat. It's just how much food they have in their system.

My Rey feels like I'm holding a bird, like there's nothing of her. She feels like she weighs so much less than the other two who generally feel more 'solid', but she's only about 50g less (this of course varies a little week to week) and is perfectly healthy.

our perception sometimes is wrong . Don't be too much concentrated on her weight; I know it is very difficult to move our brain away from the wrong thought it produces by itself... just one question: do you have similar worries also with your dog's weight? if not, this is the proof that your worry is made only by the only "wrong" side of your head .
If it helps you I say that I adopted an underweight piggie and still now you can feel some bones under her skin. She eats a LOT and her health is great; she is very active, she runs, jumps and climbs and last day she threw herself down from the sofa into her cage on the floor! She is named "The Mad" here... but as long as she jumps and runs and acts normally I (and the vet) don't care of her "bones"...

I do worry about my dog. She is 8, considered a senior here. Yesterday, we took her to the beach, and she was so tired, she didn't want to jump up into the back of the pickup. My boyfriend had to lift her in, and then I just started bawling. She looked so old and unhealthy. But in reality, she's healthy and active, and so is Cali (piggy)!

I've seen that too. I will always hold her against me and press her tummy slightly to see if it is full. It usually is, except in the morning.

we cannot change our emotions, even when they are inconvenient and impede our feeling good... of course your dog could be for long and give you happiness even with some arthrosis...
I understand you...
Anyway TODAY our pets are healthy. They have no sign of hidden disease. Next time, when you hold Cali against you, don't feel her tummy, if it is empty or full; be concentrated on the warmth of her body and how your life has changed of the better because of her presence...
A dog makes a trip to the beach more pleasant... anyway my piggies made me find the pleasure of going out for a walk not only for looking at the shop windows, but also at the grass of a simple lawn...:D But if we waste our time with the scale we will lose a lot of good moments.
(For sure I am using the wrong words... but I hope you understand the meaning as well)

That is perfectly normal. Piggies eat mostly in the mornings and evenings; they are crepuscular. As they need to digest everything twice (hence why they eat one variety of poos at a different time to when they discard the no longer used poos), night is the time when most food is actually processed and their tummy is at the emptiest. In the daily feeding cycle, piggy weight is usually at its lowest in the mornings. ;)
