Prince Harry is normally a good eater (as Graham will verify) but he is refusing to eat all of a sudden. He hasn't hardly eaten a thing since Thursday morning.

He seems bright and happy enough and doesn't appear in anyway unwell he simply won't eat. I am going to get him his favourite treat later, sweetcorn and see if that will tempt him to eat.

I am not sure whether its bocause I have had lots of people round the last couple of days and that has disrupted him, he also had a slight accident the other night in that he jumped off my knee to go on the floor, catching me unawares- I normally put him on the floor myself and unfortunately he landed in a glass of lager :o :o, he was very quickly cleaned up using baby wipes.

Any suggestions?

Do his teeth look okay? Maybe he's having difficulty eating? You could try grating some food for him and seeing if it makes it easier for him to pick up? Hopefully his favourite foods will tempt him

They do hide illnesses well as you know, I would get him to a vet to be honest, going off food isn't a great sign. Is he eating dried? Hope he bucks up. :smitten:

Stupid mummy! I never thought of looking at his teeth.

I have just checked them and he has blood on his top lip and his top teeth don't look right, vets on Monday!

Oh poor wee thing, just one of those freak accidents though, bless him. Good luck at the vets and keep us posted on him. Do you have any slops to give him like cc if he is off his food?

Hugs,

Louise

I think that must of been the cause, I feel awful about it, when he landed he hit the glass and the glass went over. I have just syringe fed him some mashed down pellets which he recieved enthusiatically and he's eating a little hay.

Will ring vets first thing Monday.

Thats excellent that he is eating something at least. Don't blame yourself Wanda these things happen. I hope he doesn't get a taste for lager now! :smitten: I would grate foods and cut into small pieces, he will be fine, don't beat yourself up! x

Aww poor boy. Glad I suggested it now.

Hopefully he'll be fine :smitten: Don't feel guilty, accidents happen and I'm sure he'll be better soon :smitten:

Well done for suggesting it Jane =]
I hope he will be okay x

Try grating up his normal veg or cutting it into slither/strips and feeding it to him. If he won't take it then cut it into small pieces and put it on his back teeth so he has to chew it. If you have CC feed it, if not his normal pellets can be soaked and fed. Celery is very good too for sick piggies :) Don't forget to offer him water :)

Timefor an update.

Harry is eating mashed down piggy pellets and shredded veg like there's no tomorrow! He's also having a good go at his hay. So I am pleased to say he's no longer off is grub! O0

We've been to the ves today and his teeth are growing back without problems but, she feels that he may be starting with a slight mouth infection so he's on Baytril for three days. I took him ou of his box for a cuddle and he amassed quite an audience and gained lots of cuddles. He's back home now and tucking into some grub.

Thats great news :D Dont forget to syringe some pro biotic as well as the baytril can upset their tums ;)

Now Gorgeous Guineas are back you could get some Neem toothpaste for his mouth :)
