I have been putting some final touches to my purpose made shed, which i have named pigy paradise and thought you might want to see some photos of the finished product. The guinea pigs are really happy in their new home and i absolutly love it. It was worth the wait and the expense.

Here are some photos of how the indoor bit is looking. I have put in one of my old hutches and it did not take them long to work out how to get in and out of it. I am hoping it will provide them extra warmth in the winter.

Here you can see part of the outdoor run which has some hideys, a hay rack and a water butt (like the sort used by chickens). There is another stable door going out to the run, but for the winter i had a special hatch put in so that the pigs can still have access outside but i can keep the main door shut to keep the warmth in the shed and they can use the hatch

Here is the door sign we had made for the shed.

Hope you all like it xx

Great set-up how many piggies do you have :))

In total 19. I have 5 living in the house, they are all long haired and high maintenance so i dont put them outside unless for a run in the garden

My daughter has her own guinea pig which lives in her room with her Jasmine

and i have 13 living in the shed. 9 of them were already an established herd with one neutered male and his wives and i introduced 4 new females when they moved into the shed. They all get on really well but i am not planning on putting anymore in there as i dont want to overcrowd it and defeat the object of the shed.

Oooh thats given me an idea!

I went to view a house today,with a shed,and I dont really need a shed ;)

Hmmmmm.......If I decide to buy this house I may well be in touch to find out how you did this. I would have a side garden which is totally enclosed but is all stone patio (this is where the shed is) and a front garden with lots of grass for runs....

Ooh wow, I'm so jealous!

/And it's a good thing we don't have Winter in Singapore./

Aww they look so happy in their new home. Wow 19 piggies! I could not cope!

I am so impressed with your idea, you must spend a fortune on hay. The cost of a bag has really gone up recently. How much do you get through?
Fruit and veg isn't cheap either.
I'm desperately trying to show pictures and videos of my two on here, I've set up a Photobucket account and can't see an upload button anywhere.
Mine live in an Eglu ( made by Omelet) and a double storey hutch and a large wooden run.
Really enjoyed looking at your pics

Buy my hay by the bale from a farm shop and it cost about 4.50 per bale and lasts about 2-3 weeks xx

OMG i love it so much. I want to do something like this when i get more space maybe, rescue loads more piggies.

Just to ask, where did you get your 'piggie paradise' sign from? I love it and i'd love to have something similar for my lot.

x.

Wow! What a brilliant set up! Is there space for me and Misty to move in?! ;)

Fantastic :)) x) what lucky piggies and a fabulous set up drool x)

Oh wow Jo this is amazing! I love it! The piggies are very spoilt, i bet they love foraging around in all that space!

Jobo! :)) Was it you spraying paint all over the place?! :));)
