Piggy Photos

Here are my 2 blokes. Hazelnut is the dark one and I got him when he was about 3 months old. Peanut Butter, the 2 colours one, came along when he was 1 month and Hazelnut was 10 months, as shown in the photo where they are both on top of something. Hazelnut loved climbing on top of his pigloo and Peanut Butter had to follow him everywhere. They each had a pigloo and a fiddlesticks tunnel but PB only wanted to be next to H so he always climbed on top of H's tunnel. The toilet wars are my attempts to toilet train and their attempts to use them as lounging places. I used towels since they wee & poop only on towels when they are outside of the cage. I use vetbed for the entire floors of the cage and the hay is in a hayrack so did not want to start introducing something new for the the toilet. The toilet training was not successful and now I have a giant towel in that area as I realised they just like laying on towels when they are not laying inside their hideys. They are now 6 and 15 months as shown in the grass photo. Hazelnut no longer climbs on top of anything but PB still occasionally does.

Both are really good about doing the double chicken leg but it took forever to get them relaxed enough to not jump up the minute they heard the click of the camera. PB is still not relaxed enough to allow me to get a photo of his double chook leg act. I loved it so when they used to climb up on stuff. I think H has stopped because quite frankly now that he is fully grown his butt is just too big to haul up anything. PB still occasionally climbs on fidllestick tunnels but rarely sits there long. more like an exploratory look see. Lately though he runs up and down the tunnel as part of his cage laps. He is really quote athletic. You should see him at floor time making mad dashes through the tunnel mazes. I am trying to get a video of it but he stops as soon as he hears the camera. It is amazing how camera shy my boys are!
