Hi,

Anyone got any tips for photographing your piggies? Mine never sit still and I usually end up with a bunch of photos of ears, whiskers and bottoms!

I want some good pics as my wee buys are not getting any younger.

i know exactly what you mean.....when i try to film or snap my two its like the roadrunner cartoon thing where you just get left with the puff of dust!

Hi Merrypip and welcome to the forum. :)

For me to take pics, I usually offer my two girls a treat like a bit of carrot or any type of veg really and then snap away. Depending what kind of camera you own, in order to avoid or reduce blur, you can use the onboard flash and/or separate flash. That helps in some cases.

Have a go and pop some piccies on. Don't worry if you do have an ear or end of a bum, we'll be happy to see them. xx

Bribery with food. :(|)

When my girls have floortime I lie on the floor with them. They've got used to me being there and so I can get some quite good snaps at floor level. I often leave a trail of food or series of tunnels so that they will stop/ emerge at where it is convenient for me to point the camera. I still get probably 4 blurred images for every half decent one but luckily digital photography means I haven't spent a fortune on dodgy prints. :)

Good light helps and I tend to avoid the flash if possible.

You just have to wait until their in the right mode.. It can be tricky keeping them still. You should have two people. One to photograph and one to hold the guinea. Let go before the camera goes off! Hope I helped
