I've just started using them and I think sawdust smells worse tbh. If you clean them everyday just get rid of poos and any thing that looks mucky or any left over veggies then it shouldn't ever smell. Wash it and do a thorough clean every week. Spot clean daily x

Ok so in your opinion what is the least stinkiest and easiest to clean out of all different options for bedding?

The only thing about fleece is that hay gets stuck to it so you need to brush it all off before it goes in the washing machine. But I'd probably say I don't miss using saw dust. I was hoovering 2-3 times a day!x

Mine will only smell if i don't clean it ! I spot clean it few times a day and change the top fleece twice a week and full clean out once a week.

I use fleece bedding and fleece pee pads in their hidey's and in their toilet corner which I swap out every 2 - 3 days and wash. I find by using the pee pads that the main fleece stays a lot dryer and less smelly and will last a week before needing a full cage clean if spot cleaned daily. I have recently started using vet bed now (thank you to my partner for buying me one for valentines day) and it's so good I bought two more, one of which I am going to cut up to make pee pads for under the hidey's. I think the only issue I have with fleece is the wicking as some fleece take's longer to get to wick than others.

The little bits of hay getting stuck is annoying, I put down a black fleece this time with owls and the hay show's up worse on dark colours I think?

I'm gonna take my fleece out and use a brush to get the hay off before washing. Hoovers already broke due to hay. I think the mess is un-avoidable tbh they are mess animals lol x

They certainly are :))

Fleece is less smelly. I have used wood shavings, carefresh and finacard in the past. I use incontinence pads under the fleece - sometimes washable and sometimes disposable, or towels. I have vet fleece and polar fleece, the polar fleece I wash every 2 days along with their fleece tunnels and snuggies and vet fleece I was wash every 4 days. Disposable pads get changed daily but the others get washed every 2 days.

I have fleece liners that i change every three or four days. I also have fleece and vet ved pads for in their hidies. They have a 32 litre underbed storage box with a hemp based bedding and hay which is changed most days. They do the majority of their wees in there.
