I had to have my Ritz (aka Piglet) PTS a few days ago as his abscess turned out to be a chronic condition due to a bone infection. He had fought so hard and endured two ops over the last 3 months.
I miss him so much, but at least he is not going to suffer any more and we were able to share his 4th birthday just before the end.
RIP Ritz....back with your Hector. x

I am so sorry for your loss - it is so heartbreaking and devastating to lose your beloved Piglet after such a battle! You had to make the hardest decision of them all; and even knowing you did the right thing, doesn't make it any easier, does it?

As glad as I am that Piglet is no longer suffering, I know what state your heart must be in!

Your love and care has carried him through his illness and across the Rainbow Bridge. RIP little warrior!

What sad news. Ritz (piglet) sounded like a fine gentleman and he must have fought hard to stay with you. I'm so sorry that he is no longer with you but he will be watching over you from Rainbow Bridge and an extra bright start will shine in the sky tonight. Run free at the bridge sweet Fitz and know that you will be sadly missed.

I have set up a digital photo frame filled with photos of Ritz and my other pets so I can still see him every day, which does help a bit.
