I bought some Dr Noy Dog Toys online, thinking they'd be nice for the pigs. I didn't anticipate just how much they'd love them. The sheep especially have gone down very well; Frankie has all but adopted his, he adores it.

They do enjoy their other toys too; vine balls are almost as popular as the soft toys, and many of them love admiring themselves in the mirror...

I bought it in small size, though I think medium would be just as good. There's also ducks and frogs; I have the ducks and am ordering the frogs!
I threw out almost all the pigs old soft toys last week, I'd had them for years and didn't really feel they were right for my current groups. Never thought I'd get a reaction like Frankie's to the new bunch of teddies though, and it's been very cheap to stock up.

Phew, thank goodness those girls were to hand when you checked this thread Glynis!

Thanks for the lovely comments. When we get the frogs I'll add the pics to this thread. They do love their teddies. :)

never thought of teddies for guinea pigs, do they have to be made of anything special or will normal human toys do?

I mainly use dog toys. They tend to be a little more durable and safe compared to some human toys, although such teddies can still be used as long as there's no fluffy/small/tassly bits to be chewed off!

It's rare for a pig to bite through to the stuffing, I have not heard of it happening and, even with lots of loving nibbles from my lot, it has never happened to mine. If you are worried about that you can buy vegetable parchment bedding (the white, papery-looking stuff from the pet shop) and stuff the teddy with that instead- that way it's a bit safer if they do bite through to the stuffing.

Laura i absolutely adore all your piggies they take such fabulous pics but that Frankie he is just too gorgeous for words. Piggy napping time again me thinksx)

Aww these are the most cutest little piggy pictures ive ever seen! Those little sheep are adorable, and all your piggies snuggled up to them drooldrool x)x)

i might just have to get my girls a teddy each seeing as they generally like to sleep alone might give them something to snuggle upto

^) ^) ^) Sooooo cute, did you take the squeakers out? I have these toys for my dog and I love them because you can remove the squeaker to put them through the wash!

Lovely pics, as always! Frankieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! xoxo

I left the squeakers in actually, considered taking them out but they've had squeaky toys before and had no problems. The velcro is very strong so they can't get to the squeaker, but it's probably worth removing it anyway - it's not like they can use it, and if they did figure it out I can just imagine the reaction!

Frankie is currently running around the room, muttering away to himself. Daft boy doesn't really care about veggies, he'd rather spend his time flirting through the bars with his neighbours!
