Disney and Paris have some sort of lice, not mites I don't think but anyway I got from Pets at Home some stuff:

Anti-Parasite Spot On for Rabbits and Guinea Pigs by Beaphar is the quick and easy way to treat and protect your pet against lice, mange and other mites and roundworms. Each pack contains two pipettes with the active ingredient Ivermectin 150ug. Provides up to 4 weeks cover. Suitable for rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets and rats.

Paris (white piggie) skin looks quite pink around the back of her neck where I have put the stuff on? Couldn't get near Disney to check her.

I have ordered the Lice N Easy from GG and it should be here tomorrow so they will have a bath at the end of the week.

I would personally stop using the spot on treatment from Pets at Home. They have things in which could be too harsh for your piggie's skin. You can see lice with your eye and they wriggle around in the fur. The stuff you have ordered from GG should be fine for this I think. Mites cannot be seen with the human eye. If this is the case your piggie will have to have a course of treatment called Ivermection at your vets. Your piggies will have one treatment and will then have to return again around 10 days later I think for another treatment. Hope this helps.

I was under the impression the Spot On stuff *was* Ivermectin, the same as used by vets? No idea if the concentration is the same though.

Ivermectin is available at certain farming suppliers, I'm thinking about buying a small bottle as it's cheaper than the retail packaged Baephar, and much cheaper than taking more than a dozen piggies into the vets! However, none of mine seem to have a parasite issue so for now I'm holding off.

The Baephar Ivermectin from P@H is not as strong as what you would buy from the vets but I'm waiting for the shampoo from GG. Then they can have a bath, I definately saw things crawling!

Maybe it is? Sorry for misleading if I have. I suppose I'm always sceptical about things that pet shops sell as sometimes they are unnecessary :)

The spot on treatment is the same as the vet treatment, only alot cheaper!

I buy Ivermectin direct from the manufacturer soooo much cheaper and you do not have the hasstle and expense of going to the vet.
