Junior Guinea Pig
Hi everyone.
Our lovely wee girl Pipsqueak passed away on Saturday night. She was a rescue and unfortunately we only had her for five months. I don’t think she was ever in the best health, she was always so thin no matter what we tried, back and fourth to the vet so often, and eventually, after a successful bladder sludge procedure last week, she didn’t make it. She was doing so well after the procedure but around a week later she just went dramatically downhill very fast.
Five months was not long enough with this wee sweetheart. She was gentle and shy but loved to cuddle and loved her cagemates. She came into our senior girl Penny’s life when she really needed her and Penny’s happiness and health improved enormously after Pip arrived to keep her company after the loss of her other cagemate Thomas.
She was nosy, gentle, quiet, she always ate slower than the other two piggies and ended up with her food stolen but wouldn’t try steal it back, she loved to hide in her hay bag and in a fluffy blanket on us. She is beyond loved by us and her furry family. She had gorgeous hair and was the first piggie I have ever had to bath! Even the vet adored her. She had a hard life before she arrived in our care and had never had a friend before she came to us, I hope we made these last few months happy and peaceful for her, she made them that way for me.
