Pixel and friends

[Little Piggles]

It's been a good few weeks since we've had the camera out and as the girls were out for playtime this afternoon, I thought I'd dust it off.

Pixel is now getting on for 5 months old and I can't believe how much she's grown and just how quickly! She's almost the same size as the big girls now (who are about 15 months old) I guess we didn't notice the sudden growth spurt in Pippa and Willow as they were growing together and had nothing to compare them against.

Anyway, these are a few snaps of Pixel with some of Pippa and Willow thrown in later for good measure

Pixel then decided that the litter tray of hay actually works better on it's side...

Pippa decided that she would go and investigate the pile of shoes which live under the stairs..

And promptly took a nibble out of my old trainers and the straps on a pair of my heels (both old pairs luckily!)


It wasn't me, promise!... looking pretty in pink

Willow decided that playing out was far too energetic for her liking so after polishing off the salad

she decided she would just stay in the pigloo and look beautiful!

..but even that was hard work!

What an entertaining bunch of characters! I was amazed at how quickly Telyn has grown. She's already bigger than the smaller sows!

All three are so different in their ways. Pixel is by far the loudest and has awesome hearing. You only have to think about going in the kitchen and the wheeking starts! She can be a little skittish still, but is coming along and will happliy be stroked and held, although can be a wriggler.

Pippa is a mischief maker and always the first to the front of the cage. She gets bored quickly though and won't sit for cuddles for very long (unless you have corriander at hand of course!)

Willow, as you can see, is our chill-out girl and always seems to find somewhere to settle down for a snooze. She'll quite happily snuggle down on your lap for a good cuddle, but doesn't like to be picked up and will cry until she'd safely in your arms

Not one of them is afraid of the cat and all three run to him to see what he's up to, which always results in the cat running away!

I was meant to be going to bed but as usual couldn't resist opening a picture post and I'm glad I did, hope I dream of guinea pigs now! Yours are so beautiful, I love their names as well. Pixel suits hers to a tea. Good to see willow enjoying a nice bit of peace and quiet, I do know those guineas can get a bit too noisy at times.
