Hi everyone! Please help me!
I don't know what to do. I have two male guinea pigs (4 months and 5 months) who got along well since their introduction (they have been together for a month), but since this morning the oldest one (which I got first) started showing fiercer dominance. He's teeth chattering very loud, constantly rumble strutting and they leaped some times at each other. I haven't seen any blood and the younger one seems to kind of run away (I think kind of being submissive?).
I'm in doubt if I should seperate them, because I will be gone this weekend for Christmas (only one night), so I shouldn't be able to check if they will actually start a fight.
I'm afraid that I would come home to injured guinea pigs, but I don't want to intervene the dominance process if it's not necessary.
Any advise is welcome!
Ine
