Hello after the sad death of our baby Meggie last week , yesterday we adopted a friend for Moonlight who we've named Millie, she's very lovely but she was from a breeder so has not had much human contact and the poor little thing had no name and has never been out on the grass in a run . Her and Moonlight seem to be getting on fine they're first night together was uneventful and they were snuggled up together this morning and the food bowls were empty !
but I would love please any advice that you piggie experts out there XX have to try and tame her a bit and calm her down , she is very jumpy and nervous poor thing and we want her to have a nice life and jump around on the grass with moonlight XXXXXX

All I can say is to just keep handling her and gradually let her know that human contact is a good thing. Whenever you bring her out, give her a small treat of fruit or veg and she'll soon learn to love cuddles :)

Leave her be as much as possible for the first week so she can take in her surroundings and settle in with her new friend. Talk to her as often as possible and handling - little but often after that.

If you have something she can walk into, like an upturned pigloo with some hay in or a shoebox with one side cut out, you can cut out the dreaded hunt-to-pick up and build up her trust quicker that way.

I wish you all the best and much fun with Millie!
