I have already posted this on the skinny forum, but there are lots of knowledgable people on here too so:
Boris has a fungal infection, just a bit of dry skin on his back and this patch has appeared on his ear yesterday. I have these pictures: Hes only about 6 weeks old so i need a treatment that would be safe for him. My vet has never seen a skinny before and knows nothing about them so please help me I'm worried sick about him. Where can i get a suitable treatment from?

What area are you in? We have a vets list on here, maybe there is one close to you?
I'm sure as soon as our knowlegable people wake up in the morning they'll help you as much as they can xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Thanks for posting the pics that was a brill idea!
All the best and super healing wheeeeeeks from my girls for little Boris xx>>>xx>>>xx>>>xx>>>xx>>>

I use canestan cream for areas of fungal skin - as you can get to all of Boris's skin I think it would be the most effective - Canestan 1% - twice a day - a very thin film of it over the infected areas and past the margins of it too. After you see an marked improvement - 3 days ish - use it once a day - keep using for 5 days after the last patch has completely disappeared. Fungal is very stubborn.

Thanks all, is the caneston the same one women use for thrush...sorry:red will he be ok if he licks it?

Yep - also athlete's feet! Hehehe - just don't say it's for piggies if they ask!

Tee hee. Yes, they can't sell it to you if you say it is for your piggy. Not that anyone is suggesting that you should be dishonest, of course!

Yes it's ok if he licks it - do check his mouth too, especially the corners of his lips as it may need treatment too - Daktarin oral gel for babies is THE thing for that. Again keep schtum that it's for piggies!
