I've just been to my local P@H to get my girlies some more supplies and whilst there with my daughter I noticed a piggie with a scab above her left eye and a boar with a mark on his left cheek and that was without having a good proper look at them as my daughter was dragging me off!

Anyway, from being on this forum I was concerned that it may be mites or even ringworm so when I was paying I told the boy behind the counter that I thought the guinea pigs needed veterinary attention and that if it was something nasty then they may all be infected.

They took the little girl out from the others and I was told they would check all of them over. I'm not sure if they will or not. Do you think I did the right thing and should I have done something else/more to help? I know I'm no expert on guinea pig health but it wouldn't hurt them to get them all checked surely?

I think you did they right thing, if nobody says any thing they will get away and cotinue with selling sick animals with is an animal welfare issue not to mention the unsuspecting buyers - if you notice it again it may be worth telling RSPCA, as i'm sure its illegal to display sick animals.
