Hello all...

Just picked up a new piggy from a friend, she got 2 pigs and was told they were both girls, not sure where from but anyway, they were separated and the girl later had a baby. I now have the baby who is 12 weeks old.

We just secured the sale of my drum kit so not only have I put £1000 in our piggy vet fund but I have moved up Pancake's neutering to this Monday the 3rd and also booked in Wiiiiiieek and Rasher too on the same day.

I am just about to do a mahoooooossive zoo-plus order and buy yet another massive cage so that I can use some of my C+C for second levels etc.

I have decided to deviate from my name list and called her "Phantom". I know it's a bit masculine for a sow but to me at least, her pattern makes her look like she's wearing a venetian mask and I LOVE The Phantom of the Opera x)

She's still a bit scared but I put her and Baby together in a C+C and they're getting on fine so we'll see how it goes. This really is it now rolleyes no more pigs"), I only said yes because we had planned to get Baby AND her sister, and unfortunately, her sister became ill before we could pick her up and died following quite a lot of treatment, so we were minus 1.

Here she is:

What would you say? Chocolate and White Crested? As the vet will ask when I register her on Mon after dropping the boys off.

too cute!

Are you having 3 piggies in for an op on the same day, or did I misunderstand?

She's lovely, love the eye mask. Phantom is a great name. :)

Thanks for the replies x>>

@Amanda, yes, that's right. Before we were having to put off Rasher and Wiiiiieek's operations as we were having to save up for them. So, before we manage to spend all the money, I want them sorted with their neuterings so that they can then move to their new cages with their new girlfriends sooner (after 6 week wait). Then everyone will have more room and all four boars will have at least 2 sows for company. The first thing I did when we got the money was call the vet and book them in.

Currently, Coconut is the only boar I've had neutered and he lives with his harem. The other boys are in their own C+C cages next to each other for company as they fight when together.

I'm just wondering if it might be an idea to stagger the ops by a couple of days each? Just thinking of the after care and if you end up having to syringe feed 3 pigs and stuff. Just one is killing me at the moment!

They're gonna be some happy boys to all have wifepigs!

Thanks everyone x>>

@Amanda, ah it's ok, I was having to hand rear 4 babies at the same time a few months ago as well as milking their mum (which took aaaaaaages) so it wouldn't be too much of a problem if that should happen and they need more post-op care. Plus I can get OH to help. The problem with staggering is that I have Uni and he has work. I can stay home if I need to look after anyone but monday the 3rd is the only day we both have off in the near future.

Once they're ready to be picked up, I am going to have to go and meet him at the vets after uni to bring them home...

Aww what a little sweetheart! So pretty! Sending positive vibes for the boys ops x

ahhhh so sweet! gorgeous girls and hope theyre settling in ok!
