When one of my pigs came to me, part of his foot was darker pink than the rest. It hasn't gotten any worse, and he doesn't seem to favor it in any way. Should I be concerned, or do some pigs just have slightly pinker parts of their feet where they walk?

It's not that his feet are dark- he's got one foot that's black and one that's pink... but the pink one shows some variation in amount of pinkness. It's pinker toward the middle.

The load bearing part of the foot is quite frequently darker than the side of the foot, due to increased blood flow.

Which feet are particularly red? Some degree of redness is very normal on the hocks of the back feet.
