Hi everyone,

Beep poo a lot. Is it normal? Even when I already cleaned the poo area in the morning, then when I came back from work in the evening, the poo is like everywhere.

I feed Beep with green pellets, green vegetables, sometimes carrots and a lot of cucumber (as she hardly drink any water).

Should I be worry?

sounds like a healthy guinea to me! Does she Also get lots of hay? Hay should be 80 percent of a guineas diet x

Oh yes they are known to be the poop machines :(|)
Have a look in our food section you'll see a great thread on recommended foods and quantities ........here i'll give you the link

hope this helps x

Hi =)

yeah I feed her hays to but once or twice a week. If that's the case, then I shouldn't be worried.

Thank You guys

Do you mean you feed hay once or twice a week ? ?/

Hay should be fed 24/7 because pellets do not provide enough long fibre to keep their intestines in good working order.
Unlimited hay is extremley important as teeth of guinea pigs are constantly growing and must be ground down by chewing. Constant chewing on hay promotes healthy and normal wear on their molars. Treats and chew sticks are not efficient at wearing the teeth.

And yes they poo a lot too :))

Please give your guinea pig plenty of hay everyday, as much as it can eat in a day. Hay is very important for a healthy digestion and good teeth.

Lots of poo is a good sign. They make lots because a guinea pigs need to eat lots of foods that are not high in nutrition; that is how they work.

Yes, guinea pigs are little eat-and-poop machines!

Yes, and hairless guinea pigs poo even MORE than hairy piggies :)) I can't even get out my Willow for 5 minutes without her having to poo :))

Ahh..I see..because here in Brunei kinda hard to find hays and the pet stores are always out of stock. Thank you for the tips. Really appreciate it =)

Potty training is usually not very successful. Some piggies are tidier than others. Most like to poo and pee under a hay rack, and they also do it where they sleep, but you can find stuff everywhere.

My Mango poop alot too! I believe it's normal. Have fun counting the amount of poop your piggy poop! Haha
