Hi, sorry is your piggy a he or a she? if it's a he it's probably it's grease from his grease land building up, to clean that then you can use a little swarfega gel or dishwashing liquid to break the grease down then rinse it with warm water. If it's poo then just rinse it wish warm water and that should soften it enough to rub out.

Id always reccomend cutting long haired piggies hair very short around their bottom, i give my sheltie an undercut so he doesnt get all mucky :)

ok thanks its a girl, i think it may have diarea as its poo is much more softer than my other girl

Yes, some piggies can have an intolerance to some food whilst others dont (one of my boys gets soft smelly poo when he has broccoli where as his brother is fine) i'd just gently wash it out and keep tabs on what she gets fed and how she reacts to it :)

You can just give her a quick bum wash with warm water and a flannel (probably best to have a flannel that's just used for the piggies :(|)). A hair trim is also a good idea but get someone to help you as it's tricky on your own. If you think your guinea pig's poo is too soft then cut back on the fresh veg until they're back to normal. x

hi if her poops are a little soft i would stop veg for a day or two until they harden back up, still give the other guinea veg but she will have to eat hers away from the other..

is she still eating and drinking?

give her bum a wash and dry it, you can also cut her hair too from around her bum just to make it shorter, if she is eating and drinking it maybe worth getting some probiotics from pets at home and give her some of this via syringe or water bottle, it wont hurt if the other one drinks it too...

let me know how she goes one:)

how long has she had soft poops? is it since you changed my food to the one you are using?
