Poor Archie. I just got home and got him out for a cuddle and he was shivering :(. I assume he was cold as it is chilly today and he's got no fat to keep him warm. I gave him my heat bag to warm him up and he's now snuggled in my jumper and seems ok. Have any of you got any suggestions on how to keep him warm?

It is going to be a pretty frosty night tonight - the first of the year, so you best prepare for that and bring him inside!

Haha.
He lives inside, and was in his cardboard box bed when I got him out. He tends to kick all the hay out of it though. I could try putting his cuddle cup inside the box. Would that help?

That may help. Or you can put a fleece over the cage at night. That's what I do, as mine are in a bay window and are getting cold drafts from the window despite the double glazing.

If he's in a cardboard box then could you insulate the box with a fleece? Try to trap his own body warmth sort of thing so that he builds up a nice cosy den?

I found a great way to insulate my guinea pig. When I was younger my dad forbid me from allowing my guinea pig to live inside during the winter, and even though we had a shed, it was colder in the shed than outside!
So I got a polystyren box and turned it upside down, I cut a hole in the side of the box where the hole to his sleeping area was, (I made mine just big enough for him to fit in as the hole in his cage was quite large). I then built a small wooden box that fit on the inside of the polystyren box so that the guinea pig wouldnt be able to chew on it and then filled it with his bedding material. My guinea pig lived 7yrs like that and was never ill and lived perfectly healthy, its a great idea if you arnt able to bring your little friend indoors.
