I took on a rescue pig yesterday and unfortually she has to have her eye removed. She will be having this done on Tuesday.

I am very sorry that the op is necessary. Hoepfully, she will recover well and - once she has got used to not seeing on that side - will go on to enjoy life to the full!

At least, I know that she will be in the best of hands!

I would think the the sight is completely gone. I cant say too much on here but shes from a petshop and was housed with rabbits and guinea pigs. I cant say any more then that, so please dont ask for more info. I work at a vets so I am able to get her eye done. She has only been with me for 24hrs, I have her in a indoor cage on her own but she has other piggys near by. I have noticed that she hasnt poohed alot so I will keep a close eye on her. I have ome recovery in and also baby food as I want to make sure she is strong enough for the op. Has anyone on here had to have this op for their piggys? I also need a name for her! So please feel free to help me name her x
