I haven't been on the forum for a good while not being active due to some illness issues and work related things I have been dealing with.

All of you that know me, know I was proud slave to my two skinny boys Edgar & Poe.

Devastating recent events means I have lost my Poe to rainbow bridge.

It started with a Uri that he seemed to overcome but as with all skinnies his weight plummeted very fast.

Throughout he soldiered on but then took another turn for the worse. He went to see uncle simon the second time and he also found a spur which was sorted. It wasn't clear whether he had a head tilt so another appointment was made for two weeks time as he has just finished a course of Baytril etc.

My darling Poe still was trying to eat but was clearly struggling and I had to hand feed etc.

We had cuddles on the sat after seeing simon on a friday. Unfortunately after I put him down for a few hours and set the alarm a few hours later to feed etc I found him laying on his side and he had gone to rainbow bridge.

Its taken me a good few weeks to post as it's been horrible without my Poe. I hope it was quick and peaceful and that you didn't suffer. The hole in my heart will never be filled that you have left.

I love you little man and I hope that you are running around on the bridge with all your little friends.

I miss you.

A special mention to @helen105281 ... thank you so much for all your support through this sad time. I don't know what I would have done without you. Xx

@GPTV thank you also for the texts and chats. x

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, these Guinea pigs, grab your heart so quickly & break it when they leave us. I'm sure you have been a loving & caring mum to Poe. He will be playing over the rainbow bridge now.
Sleep tight little man x

Sorry I only just saw the tag. I'm so sorry you lost your precious boy. He couldn't have asked for a better mum.

Happy to help any time you need me. Big hugs to you both and to Edgar too.

I'm sorry sorry - I lost my darling conker chops Bumble not long ago - he has left a great big paw print on my heart - so I know how you feel. xx

@GloriousGuineaGirl
sorry I didn't get notified of your tag, I just happened to stumble across your thread. Generally I try not to look in the Rainbow bridge section as I'm a big softie & I find it too upsetting to read. :bye:

I hope you're all doing ok & Edgar is still coping ok without Poe? for such little creatures they certainly leave a big void in our hearts when they go.
Try & comfort yourself with the fact that he couldn't have wished for a better slave, his quality of life was brilliant, he had about the best veterinary care that could be given with Simon & he was truly loved - he would have known this.

big hug for you &hopefully things will improve soon. Glad to be of help in any way.

luv to all, take care - keep in touch. xx

@GloriousGuineaGirl I'm sorry I missed this but even more sorry that you've lost one of the forum's celebrity piggies. The lovely Poe was a very lucky piggy to have had such a good life with you. It's heartbreaking when you lose a piggy - for me it's a true grief process, so I know how you feel. Huge hugs to you xx Popcorn free Poe.
