Teenage Guinea Pig
Haven't been on here in a while unfortunately 
long story short- Besty Boo sadly passed away about a month ago- still heart broken and not had the heart to do her a thread on the RB page 8.... The plan was originally not to get anymore as I'm possibly going Uni next year but about a week after she left us someone at my brother-in-law's work was looking for a home for a little girl who had just lost her partner and wanted her to go somewhere she would have firends. Things seemed right and so Poppy came to live with us:
She's a lovely little girl. Not sure if you can see it but she came with a fairly nasty scratch on her back of unknown origin- her old owners offered to pay if I took her to the vet but with no other signs of illness I kept it clean and it healed up really well. Though lovely people who generally seem to care about her I do wonder if it was just a matter of leaving the pigs to their own devices (lived in a purpose built shed) as she is the most skittish pig I've ever had. After spending two weeks in quarantine I moved her into the main cage. Being on her own I barely saw her and her upset over losing her partner/ being alone meant she wasn't eating much but she has really perked up since moving in and loves the company of the other pigs. Really scared of people but yesterday she managed to take her first piece of food from my hand|). Kind of worrying but she was tiny when she came home but 3/ 4 weeks on she is almost the size of the rest of the guys :red I make fat piggies
