The other day I noticed that Marmalade's right eye was twitching and closing.

There was nothing obviously wrong - the eye wasn't weeping in any way and he could open it wide when he wanted to. It was bright as usual. I checked the rest of the right side of his body for any other twitches etc, but he was fine otherwise - running around, eating, beating up his brother...

By evening it seemed back to normal.

He has very almond shaped eyes and so they are never wide-looking like big round eyed guinea pig's eyes.

I know there are a lot of very experienced and knowledgeable owners here... and I guess I don't want to ignore something which should be investigated.

Any thoughts and advice welcome - thank you.

Aw bless him, did you look in the actual eye itsself to see if there was any hay or something lodged in it? Glad he seems to be back to normal now.

^ Hi Toffeewoffee, thanx for your quick reply.

Yes I did wonder if he had something in it.

Had a gentle look around but couldn't see anything. Didn't want to poke about too much and make things worse.

Maybe there was a little something and it came out naturally.

^ awwwwwwwwwwwww thanx!

He seems fine now so it must have just been something in his eye.

The trouble is, the slightest thing that seems wrong with either of them and I've invented some horrendous disease that will finish them off in minutes.

I was in a panic all day Weds :(
