My 5 year old piggie went to the vets a week or two ago as i felt a lump on her side that felt like it was inside her on one of her organs. The vet said she was very healthy and it was just her kidney that i could feel. He pointed out that he could feel the other one too on the other side.

So i went home thinking she was okay. But after health checking all the other pigs at work, none of them felt anywhere like what my little Patch feels like. So i am sure she has something wrong with her. Compared to my other piggies she has a 'pot bellied' look to her, but i didnt notice it as the other piggies are scruffy peruvians, not a smooth coat like my Patch.

She's acts normal and always runs to greet me, but i have her on my lap right now and she keeps fidgiting and making quiet squeaking noises which she never would do. I am worried that she is feeling uncomfortable and that the vet is wrong about her being healthy.

I think i will take her back to the vets and ask to see someone who is experienced in piggies. (This vets does have vets that are exotic vets and have experience in small animals, but my appointment was the last one of the day. I think i just had a normal cat or dog vet...)

I'd suggest taking her for a second opinion if you are worried. Where abouts are you? It will help to know your location so we can point out the nearest Cavy Savy vets.
