Someone we know is offering us to adopt there two piggies as they have little time to look after them and don't think it's fair for the them.
They are two boars (both about 2 years old) and come with outdoor cage, bowls, toys ect.
I currently have two piggies (a neutered boar and a sow who are brother and sister) who live in my room.
Sould I agree to adopt these two, I've been wanting more piggies since my last two piggies went pocorning to piggy heaven.
Would they be able to live together if the new two boars were neutered or would they have to be kept seperate?
Thanks:)

Well bonding could work but I don't think the boar you have now would like it if 2 other boys were coming along as they'd be taking his girl! :)) If you have the room to keep them separate and can afford to have 2 extra piggies, then go for it! :(|) I'm sure they will have a lovely life with you. :)

The two boys would have to be kept seperate from your current pair as one sow with 3 boars is bound to cause trouble!

Only you know whether you have the time, space and money to take care of two extra piggies. Good luck with whatever you decide x

You can't keep more than one neutered boar with a sow or you will be ankle deep in bloody fights!

Ideally, the two new boars should be housed out of sight of your couple or even in a separate room. Best make sure that you Handle any boar couple before any sows (same goes with time sharing runs) as the scent of a sow in season can spell trouble in paradise.

Can vouch for that one, I now think having my two boars too near my girls may be what caused their rift :(

I'm not sure about getting them, if I had the 2 boars cage above the other cage so they couldn't see each other would they still be able to smell her?

I would think they would, mine can smell celery when it comes out the fridge and they certainly can't see it :{ sorry

Just because they can smell a girl doesn't mean they would fight, it would depend on the bond between the boys and their temprement. I know there are people on here who have boy and girl groups living seperatly but still in the same room.

Have you met these pigs are they happy together? How old are they and have they been happily together for a long time? All these factors can shed some light on whether it would work. You can only try it.
