I recently got 3 guineapigs
|) They're all females and they're a mother and two daughters who are very little. We were told the mum is about 10 weeks and the other two are 5 weeks. I've ordered their c&c cage which should hopefully be arriving this week! On their third day here Lulu (the mum) wouldn't let me pick her up/touch her stomach which she had been letting me do happily before. I've noticed she's really big with two bulges either side of her. I cant feel any babies but she's been drinking way more and eating more too. I'm not sure what to do, but i'm taking them all for a vet check up soon anyway so i'll see then.
Do i need to split her from her babies if she is pregnant? Put a grid between them in the c&c cage? Also, can anyone tell me some things i should be looking out for in a pregnant guineapig? We adopted them so who knows if she's been with males before she came to me. I would hope she isn't since it would be very stressful for her. She is no where near as big as some of the pregnant piggy pictures i've seen, but i was just wondering...
Any help would be brilliant!
