Here is a photo of Marigold and Ruby in the hay. Marigold is now about 10 days post op. and as you can see she is just fine. Nothing gets in the way of a good hay tray!:bounce

I never thought of giving them hay like that, may get mine instead of a hay rack

We tried hay racks with some success, but they really like to get right in there! When the tray is freshly filled you can't see the piggies as they get right under the hay and eat their way out!

My girls have a large cat litter tray filled with hay in their cage and a hay rack too. They like to lay in the tray but they do use it to toilet sometimes too (>>>) so that's why they have the rack as well.
It works very well for us.
