I was wondering if we could have a thread for fruit and veg that is on offer?

Hope this is ok for a newbie to start as I love finding a bargain. Then we can check to the last page before we do our shop to see what to look out for.

To start I only have a few to note which I have bought this week:

Morrisons have romaine lettaces half price at 50p

Aldi always have their 69p deals and this week its 3 pack of peppers, plums, tomatoes on the vine, blueberries, plums and kiwis
They normally have cheap cucumber too at about 49p-69p

Havent been in Tescos as yet so if anyone knows of any deals anywhere please post them here :))
 
Good idea. :) I've never been in Aldi before but I've just started going past one on the way to Crawley so might pop in.

Tesco herb pots are 2 for £2 at the moment. :)
 
I think Sainsburys has a load of veg at £1 a pack at the mo but can't remember exactly what sorry :red
 
Tesco have carrot with BIG bushy tops for £1 a bag, instead of £1.50.

I got them for the first time for the boys today. :)
 
I just looked on Lidl's site and its says:

Red peppers 29p each

Celery 39p

Pointed cabbage 29p

Spinach 49p

Also tesco have a 2 pack of little gem lettuce for 40p until 15/08/10

Sainsburys have 3 pack of peppers for £1, 2 romaine hearts for £1, cherry toms for £1, living herbs 2 pots for £2 and a lot of cheap fruit as well in BOGOF and 2 for £2 etc :(|)
 
Morrison have green beans in a packet topped and tailed for 50p and a bag of mixed peppers for £1.00 they are small but more than enough for piggies
 
At the weekend I was in Imrie (fruit and veg shop) and got 2 little lettuces (looked little gem like), a big bag of parsley, a big bag of peas in pods and a corn on the cob with leaves on all for just 93p.
 
wow thats good! I'm off to tesco shortly hoping to find some bargain offers
 
Tesco offers

Think there were more offers than what I bought but didnt want to overload on too much fresh veg

twin pack of sweetcorns half price - now 99p - never cooked these before but the kids eat the canned ones so we'll see how they go with one of these.

Celery hearts now only 68p - tried them with them today and they went down well (cut up of course)
ice gem twin pack only 40p
cabbage 50p

bought two packs of seeds today too 74p each so hoping to grow and save :(|)
looking for grass seeds now :)
