Hi, yesterday we had a vet appointment to get the girls fully checked. And the vet was hearing something funny in the lung/heart area in both of them (they are sisters, 1 year and 9 months old), so they did an x-ray and it showed that their trachea is not straight but it makes kinda V shape in one place near the heart and then continues straight again. So it was suggested to get a chest ultrasound which we are scheduled to do.

But I am a mess from yesterday – reading about heart diseases, signs and really mad about all the vets that we've been to because of the URI and just feeling like there is not everything okay with one of the piggies. They were all supposed to be specialists but clearly they just didn't care and never listened so closely as the vet yesterday.

Does anyone has an experience with this? I already talked to the vet and got informations but I guess I need a support. I am so scared I am gonna lose them soon and that I just should have followed my instincts and go from vet to vet until I've found a good one. But also I didn't want to stress them and they are active, eating, popcorning, happy piggies. Just sometimes hooting and now I can also see more abdominal breathing (mainly when eating) which I previously thought it was normal.

I am sorry to hear your piggies are unwell. It sounds like you have at last found a good vet and I hope they can help you find a way to proceed with treatment and management of the piggies condition.
I send you and your piggies my very best wishes for a happy outcome

Welcome to the forum.
It's hard not to get overwhelmed by so many different sources out there, and going from vet to vet, try to take a deep breath though. I'm sure a member with better advice medical-wise will be on soon. I'm sorry your piggies are poorly, but it's good to hear they are actively popcorning and happy. You're a great piggy parent to care so deeply about their health. 💗
