Hi all,
I'm due to go away from the 20th July till the 24th July on a girly camping/walking trip. My dad has offered to pig sit but I have a problem with Ivy, she is pregnant and I havent a clue when she is due. She is looking very big so its hopefully soon but if she hasnt given birth before I go are there any pig savvy people who could look after her for a few days? I have a spare cage she can come in but she must be kept inside somewhere quiet and warm but with lots of monitering/supervision (sorry to be fussy), I'll also provide her food and munchie hay and money for her vegetables. Also if she has the babies a few days before could someone again pig sit her and the minis so you can weigh daily and moniter their health etc. I'm based on the wirral
Thankyou
Sarah

Hi Sarah,

I'll do it, Peter has had experience with Guinea Pigs giving birth and have a dining room table she can stay on and I am here all the time except for 40 minutes a day while I get Emily from school but my neighbour comes in for a cuppa and watches ther rabbits if they are out in the garden save me catching them! :D Can do all what you want and more!

It's just getting them here, I'm near Widnes if you go over the bridge or 25 minutes through the tunnel. Bridge is easier to tell you the truth!

Up to you offer is there if needed! :)

Thanks Louise that sounds fantastic. :) Hopefully she'll have them soon I've just fed them all and she is enormous! We could drop her off on the way and pick her up on the way back (we are staying in the Lake district) I know you will look after her like she is one of your own. I'll keep you updated and arrange dates/times as soon as i konw what time we are planning to leave etc. Thankyou again and sorry to be a fussy mum but she is a very special pig :smitten:
Love
Sarah

Very nice too! :)
We stayed in Grasmere back in May and had a lovely time. I climbed Helm Crag and I have paid the price with a bad back ever since! ::) ;D
Hope all goes well with the impending birth!

Hi Louise your inbox is full so putting this here and hoping you see it

No mini pigs yet but she is huge! Thankyou so much for affering to piggy sit. I think we are planning to get to the camp site for about 12 so i'll work out how long that takes to get there and what time we need to leave, if its too early i'll drop her off the day before if thats ok. She is a beautiful pig very easy to look after but a bit grumpy at the moment which is understandable. I'll let you know as soon as we have the times worked out.
thanks again
Sarah

Hi Sarah,

Thanks! Oops forgot about inbox...lol

I'm back from the school run at 8:45 as Emily goes to breakfast club and sometimes I take Peter to work for 11am but usually back for 11:15 so I'm sure on the way will be fine! x
