Rear Guard x

Sorry forgot this :
Make sure that the cage is clean and that your pet can clean himself. If they have a dental problem or are over weight then this might not help them.
Check them at least 3 times a day if they live out side and if they have loose poo, get this sorted out as soon as poss.
If you do find maggots on them please take to a vets as soon as poss, as this can be deadly with hours.

I think Johnson's do a fly strike spray for small animals but I've never used it so can't comment.

I don't think fly strike is that common in guineas? As long as they're kept clean themselves and in clean surroundings.

Keep them clean... Once you see a fly buzzing around clean them out... thats what i do and *touch wood* i have never had fly strike on any of my animals and i havent ever used rear guard :)

Its rotting wee flies are attracted too not fresh poo... So as long as you keep them cleaned out before the wee starts to turn and smell you will be fine:)
