Thank you so much. We lost Gilfred quite quickly 26 March. Had to have Prince pts today due to 3 tumours in his neck, which caused him to decline more in last week. xx
 
So sorry you have lost Prince and Gilfred before him, they are reunited over the bridge now 🌈
 
Thank you so much. We have 2 more rescue boys who were bonded but then fell out unfortunately. They are separated but next door to one another. Yes Gilfred was quick and not much chance to help him even with emergency vets and Prince was awful seeing him go downhill although we kept him comfortable but was grieving before had to make that final dreaded decision. Really appreciate this information from you. xx

The deaths you can't brace for really whack you because you have both the shock and the pain from the loss to deal with at the same time while the slow slides are so heart-breaking because you are already grieving all the way with them until the final goodbye. There is unfortunately no easy way. You grieve no less either way but the timing is and the dynamics are different.

Just please always remember that grieving is the other side of the same coin that love is - the more you love, the more you grieve. It is our ability to grieve that gives our ability to love a special depth similar to shade making light really shine. Be kind to yourself but know that you wouldn't be grieving so much if you weren't able to love so deeply!
