Lisajazz
Senior Guinea Pig
Hey everyone, just thought I would post an update on Princess and Kitty for anyone wondering how they are.
Well they are good thanks! I am very pleased with their progress within the rescue. Today we went and bought them a new cage to solidify their position here - they were still in a smaller hospital cage (100cm) today we bought them a 120cm cage to stay within the home as due to the nerve damage they have suffered they may not be able to regulate their temperature any more so need an indoor home that can keep a very close eye on their skin. So they stay here in the rescue with us, inside.
Here are some photos of their new cage and them
Here they are at the built in hay rack. these girls hate fleece and fleecy beds, they prefer hay and paper much much more, so we are going with their preference. They were previously beeded on straw which was stuck all over them when they arrived - never use straw!
The best face shots I could get
Bums (for Wiebke esp
)
Then their position, Dolly and Dotty's cage makes theirs look small don't you think? Not though!
More information on their progress to follow
